Struggle with multiple swing thoughts or fears? Do you lack consistency, but can’t find the time or energy to develop your skills? You’re not alone, and I am not the first one to tell you, golf is hard. Golf requires, in its traditional form, requires a lot of practice.

Not even the pro’s on the PGA Tour manage to hit much more than 70% of fairways off the tee. And they practice 6-8 hours per day, every day, with a professional coach. (Fairway accuracy leader 2019 was Chez Reavie with 75.7% FIR. Phil Mickelson was ranked 185th with only 50.7% fairways in regulation.) “pgatour.com/stats”

This is not new information, and most likely something that many people are aware of already. But taking this information and putting it in perspective, is what I think i quite important. Here you have a game, designed for the best players in the world to be successful 50-75% of the time. (Yes I know that the tour pros play on tougher courses, and trade accuracy for distance because they need to. But those factors are marginal.) Why try to break the game? Why spend money and effort and frustration trying to break a game where the statistics are heavily stacked against you?

The swing motion that we all are taught is based in one way or another from the golf swings used out on tour. Have you ever had a lesson where the teaching pro made a reference to a professional players swing? It happens. It happens because it sells. Who wouldn’t want to swing like Tiger Woods, Adam Scott or the Iceman himself?

My point is that we should not try to prefect and game that is not meant to be perfected, and when we do, frustration kicks in. Is there a solution to this you may ask?

Yes there is. I go back to the fact that we must stop acknowledging that golf is hard, and start embracing it. Give Golf for Adults a try. It is a swing method, unlike the traditional fingergrip, arm and body rotational swing, based on a few core principles formed around the acceptance that golf is difficult.

I think most people in one way or another already believe that Pro golf and recreational golf are two wildly different sports. Yet based on the same technique, swing equipment and teachings. Its a formula that doesn’t add up.

Golf for Adults is a simple to learn swing motion based on movements your body is already familiar with.
