I have been interested in sports since I was a kid and have competed in gymnastics, swimming and tennis. A couple of years ago I planned to take up golf as a new activity and was recommended by a colleague to read the book Golf for Adults. After studying this golf book and attending a golf course organized by Golf for adults, I became absolutely convinced of how simple and easy it was to swing a golf club. But the most interesting part for me, as a doctor, was how smooth and gentle this golf swing was for my body! There is no tension or any unnatural movement that can cause injury. Therefore, I recommend all golfers to use Golf for the adult swing method.

I have been dealing with “Golf Patients” for many years. The most common injuries to golfers are in the lower back, hip, knees, elbows and wrists. In the traditional “two-plane swing” you expose your body to great stress, especially when you start the downswing. This creates a lot of tension between the upper and lower back. This puts great strain on the lower back and can cause serious back problems. Other body parts that are affected by this unnatural movement are your hips and knees, which can lead to pain and injury for the rest of your life. These specific problems are one of the reasons why many of my patients have stopped playing golf. Nowadays I recommend all my golfing friends and patients to switch to the “Sacke” Swing (Golf for adults) as it is more gentle from a medical perspective. It also minimizes tension in the lower back and reduces stress in the hips and knees.

I have more than 30 years of experience in helping all types of athletes with various sports-related injuries. Over the years I have dealt with many top athletes and helped various national teams from both Sweden and the USA. For many years, many of my clients have been golfers, who have consistently had back, hip and wrist problems. When Sacke consulted me about the movements in the new swing, I immediately realized that this new swing method is a much more gentle golf swing for your entire body. Nowadays I play golf for adults myself and recommend the concept to all adult golfers.
